İSTANBUL, TURKEY, September 3, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Türkiye’s most international tech and AI event brings global and local technology leaders to Istanbul as the country accelerates investment in sovereign cloud, high-performance computing and next-generation data centres
Türkiye’s race to build the digital backbone for its next era of artificial intelligence will be in the spotlight at GITEX Ai Türkiye next week, as the country accelerates investment in data centres, cloud platforms, high-performance computing and intelligent infrastructure to turn its AI ambitions into enterprise-scale deployment.

Under Türkiye’s AI Vision and Action Plan for 2026–2030, the country aims to mobilise at least US$10 billion in private-sector investment across AI infrastructure, cloud computing and data centres, while expanding installed data centre capacity to at least 1GW by 2030.
Taking place on 9–10 September 2026 at Istanbul Expo Centre, GITEX Ai Türkiye, Türkiye’s most international tech and AI event, will feature 350+ enterprise and startup exhibitors, alongside investors, policymakers, expert speakers and technology executives from around the world.
Among them are global technology heavyweights shaping the infrastructure, cloud and computing landscape, including Google Cloud, HPE & NVIDIA, AWS, Schneider Electric, Huawei, ASUS, Dell Technologies, SAP and TrendAI. Through its dedicated Data Centre & Intelligent Infrastructure section, the event will examine how Türkiye can translate its AI ambitions into the secure, scalable and resilient infrastructure required for widespread adoption.

From capacity to AI capability
As organisations move towards AI deployment, the challenge is no longer simply building more computing capacity; it is ensuring that infrastructure can support AI securely and effectively at scale.
Treomind, a Türkiye-based AI and technology infrastructure company, and one of the exhibitors at GITEX Ai Türkiye, sees this distinction as critical. “The real question is not simply how much computing power we can build, but how effectively we can transform that capacity into secure, scalable and production-ready AI systems,” said Ersin Büyükyılmaz, CEO of Treomind.
Becoming AI-ready, he added, requires organisations to combine well-governed data with flexible computing resources, cloud infrastructure, security and business strategy. “Every AI investment should address a clearly defined business need and deliver measurable outcomes.”
The surge in AI demand is also bringing digital sovereignty to the forefront. FixCloud, a Turkish cloud technology provider specialising in sovereign cloud and AI infrastructure, is focused on helping enterprises access high-performance computing while retaining greater control over their data.
“Organisations need to shift towards service models that allow them to dynamically access high-performance GPU resources as needed, without incurring significant capital expenditures,” said Yılmaz Barçın, Co-Founder and CEO of FixCloud.
Barçın also stressed the growing importance of keeping sensitive data within Türkiye as regulatory requirements increase. He added that stronger collaboration between government, enterprises and infrastructure providers could support Türkiye’s emergence as a regional cloud, data and AI infrastructure hub for Eurasia.
At GITEX Ai Türkiye, FixCloud will demonstrate its locally hosted sovereign cloud platform, flexible access to AI computing power and solutions designed to protect critical AI data and models.

Building the right infrastructure for every AI workload
As AI moves into more real-world applications, businesses face an increasingly important decision: which workloads should run in the cloud, in a data centre or closer to where data is generated?
OpenZeka, an AI infrastructure company working across edge computing, robotics and enterprise AI, believes infrastructure decisions must be driven by the specific needs of each business.
“Companies should invest based on their vertical, workloads, data requirements and budget,” said Neslihan Kurt, CEO of OpenZeka. “The competitive advantage will not come from choosing edge, cloud or data centre infrastructure as a single strategy. It will come from having the architectural maturity to place the right workload in the right environment.”
At GITEX Ai Türkiye, OpenZeka will demonstrate how NVIDIA-powered infrastructure can support different AI applications, from robotics and AI running close to the user or device to large-scale enterprise workloads.
Kurt added that scaling AI across Türkiye will require collaboration between hardware and software companies, startups, universities, enterprises and the public sector, each bringing different capabilities to the country’s developing AI ecosystem.
That ecosystem is already seeing tangible demand for infrastructure. ASUS Infrastructure Solutions Business Group, which provides servers and computing infrastructure, is seeing Turkish cloud operators build sovereign AI infrastructure, alongside growing demand for locally controlled computing capacity and expanding AI workloads in manufacturing and financial services.
“ASUS has been present in Türkiye for over 30 years. What we're seeing right now is a decisive shift — Turkish cloud operators and enterprises are building sovereign AI infrastructure at scale,” said Kevin Li, General Manager, EEMEA, ASUS Infrastructure Solutions Business Group.
At the event, ASUS will showcase its latest AI computing, data-centre, edge computing and storage infrastructure designed to support AI workloads from development through to large-scale deployment.

Cloud becomes more intelligent and resilient
As computing infrastructure scales, the cloud layer supporting AI is evolving with it. Cloud ETEL, a regional cloud and digital infrastructure provider, is focused on helping organisations build connected cloud environments that balance cost, security and resilience.
Next-generation cloud platforms are becoming “more intelligent, autonomous, and resilient,” said Waseem Hambrouch, Business Development Manager at Cloud ETEL, bringing AI, automation, cybersecurity and high-performance computing closer together. At GITEX Ai Türkiye, the company will demonstrate cloud, connectivity and AI solutions designed to help businesses manage increasingly complex digital environments.
The infrastructure buildout will also be a key focus of the conference programme. On day one, “The 1GW Countdown — The Buildout Behind Türkiye’s AI Decade” session will highlight how the country can convert a national AI plan into real compute infrastructure. It will feature Ersel Oymak, Managing Director Türkiye, Equinix; Bihter Gönenli, Vice President, Secure Power & Data Centers, Turkey & Central Asia, Schneider Electric; and Damien Declat, Vice President & General Manager for HPC&AI Business in EMEA & LATAM, HPE.
Hosted by the Investment and Finance Office of the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye (Invest in Türkiye) in strategic partnership with the Ministry of Industry and Technology, and organised by inD, the joint venture between Dubai World Trade Centre and Informa that organises GITEX events globally, GITEX Ai Türkiye will also bring together leading Turkish organisations including Trendyol, Andevos and Halkbank, alongside the country’s technoparks including Antalya Teknokent, İTÜ ARI Teknokent and Giresun Teknopark, among others.
